Here's a little information on our members.
Miss Kim Stephens - CHAIR Mr. Jason Downey - Staff Miss. Judith Morris - Staff I have been a staff representative on the P.F.A. for 10 years and love it. I can often be found close to the Bar during events, serving that is, not drinking! Well to be honest I do enjoy a Strongbow or two at the Leavers BBQ and Disco. Recently I have turned my talents to being a DJ and at the recent Easter Disco I ROCKED DA HOUSE!!!!! I have been a staff representative on St. Nicholas P.F.A. for about 9 years now, with only a two year break in the middle. On P.F.A. events you can usually find me serving on the bar with Mr. Downey. My favourite PFA events are the Summer Fete (as long as the weather holds up!) and the Quiz Nights. Mrs Alison Thomas-SECRETARY Mr. Steve Turner - TREASURER I'm not usually a 'committee person', but I am glad I joined the P.F.A. St. Nicholas is such as lovely school and, as my two children are so happy there, it only seems right that I try to give something back. I have been a member of the P.F.A. since September 2005 and have recently become joint secretary with Ann Marie. Mrs Karen Jones Mrs Ceri Thomas My name is Karen Jones and I live in Rhoose and have 3 children, 15, 9 and 7. I am not in full time employment and do voluntary work and charity work throughout the week. I am always keen to get involved in worthwhile projects and helping others. I help out on a weekly basis at Rhws Primary School and also at St. Nicholas C/W Primary School. I help run St. Peter's Youth Club every Friday and St. Peter's Sunday School every Sunday. I believe that helping others (especially children) is one of the greatest rewards in life. I have one child at St. Nichols school and have been a member of the PFA for 6 years. I usually help out with food shopping for the various events. However, my reputation as a reluctant and hopeless cook ensures that my name is never put forward to help in the kitchen. I am far more at home on the sweets stall. The events are always a lot of fun and at the end of the day, we do it to raise much needed extra funding which all our children can benefit from.

EASTER DISCO - Friday 27th March
School Disco: by Mia Sexton D.I.S.C.O. The disco was cooooool, especially having Mr.D as the DJ for the night!. I liked when Mr.D took the mick out of my mum on the microphone, WELL DONE MR.D I RESPECT YOU MORE THAN I EVER HAVE! BY IEUAN “AYATOLLAH” RIDOUT!!!!! Hi mr G by Tehya Lee Easter Disco xXxBy hannahxXx On Friday we had an easter disco in school Mr DJ Downey was a wicked dj. It was wicked so i cannot wait for the next one :-) It was so fun thanks to the people who organized it whooo it was so fun yippy by Olivia Rowlands Easter Disco: by Kaitlin and Kane Scanlon I had a great time at the Easter Disco because by Ellie Rowlands Disco Report!!! On friday after school we had a disco. It was really cool!!!!My faverit bit was the ball game it was a bit like darts but you have to get over 170 and use two balls i got 200 and won a egg!!! Thanks for being th DJ! Bi Mr.dj Downey by Liam McNamara My report on the Easter Disco by Beautiful Jordan On Friday 27th March we had a Easter Disco and it was amazing ther was loads of songs. by Emily Azza School Disco When it was the school disco it was really fun on the tombola i wone a pirse and a nail set ieuan one allmost evrey thing. the disco was really good and you were really good at being the dj by Hollie Jones
At the school disco there were different things like............ Tombola, Raffle, Sweents to bye, Hotdogs, Disco, Drinks and Games.
It was really fun and my favourite bit was playing with my friends(Seeing Gabrielle again)
Luke’s dancing was really good especially in Barbie Girl!
I loved the disco it was fun. I laughed at the teachers it was so cool, because they did a good dance.
I really enjoyed the Easter disco at school. I liked all the music and DJ Downey was GREAT. That was my last Easter disco
We really engoed it our DJ was called DJ DOWNEY.
It was GREAT there was a raffle, stuff to by,jolly pots,tom boller and lots more it was a great night!!!

The Easter Disco was AMAZING! I really enjoyed it and i had lots of fun! DJ Downey was kwl(cool)
when it came down to the raffle my mum wont a prizs and she said that I could pick someting, so I pick a bottle of wine for my dad because he didnt come! Hope there fun because that was my last disco while i was in the school! So thank you to everyone that organized it.
My friends and me were dancing nearly ALL night and song before the last song was HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL and most of the girls and me that did a dance on a Friday acouple of weeks ago did our dance to it and then we did Y,M.C,A IT WAS A GREAT NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SUMMER FETE - Saturday 13th June 2009
The Summer Fete
At the summer fete there was a house football
Tournament, the first match was Haf VS Gaeff,
both teams did well and the goalies both made
good saves but in the end Haf won with a strong
shot in the last ten seconds.
Then Hydref VS Gwanwyn, like last time both
Teams played well but in the end Hydref won by
2 great goals!
After those games the defeated teams
Gaeff and Gwanwyn had a match for third place,
both teams scored but then the game ended and
went on to golden goal!
In the end it went on so long they just drew!
In the final Haf and Hydref both were great
After endless shots and saves Hydref won the
Tournament 2.0!
Everyone had fun and earned points for sports day!
At the summer fete there were also hook a duck,bouncy castles,go karts and more!
I really enjoyed the summer fete and hope you did too!

Heres another report on the football on Saturday.
I didnt play the 1st game.But Hydref won and they cum to the final and then i had to play in the funal i was a defender it was fun Hydref won the hole thing and earned 40 points for the house WHOOO HOOO.

The first match was Greens Vs Blues I was in greens and I was up-front. It was goal the winner and greens scored so that meant greens won that game. The final was Greens Vs Reds it was a great game I was up-front again. Reds got the 40 points for sports day but greens got 30 and that’s still quite a lot it was GREAT

BBQ & Cricket Night
On Friday 10th July at school we had a BBQ and cricket night. The children and adults were split into two teams-children V adults. it was a fun match but i'm not sure of the score. Some of our old friends came aswell, matthew, francesca, iori, nia and freddie. Luckily rain didnt stop play and Mrs Freeman won the burger cake in the raffle. It was a fun night.

BINGO NIGHT - Friday 16th June
Bingo
Last night in school it was bingo night, Like always i didn't win anything even though I was sat on the lucky teacher table, they kept winning chocolates, Hollie came to join us and she won 2 bags of chocolates! It was a fun night and I enjoyed myself, thanks to the PFA for organising it.

Kane:last night it was bingo night.i enjoyed playing bingo allow i didn't win.But there were hot dogs,soft drinks,other kind of drinks,sweets,crisps and chocolate.Me and my cousin helped press the button for the numbers.Kaitlin helped to sell the sweets and soft drinks.
