Name: Mrs Kate Aldridge (full time) Year Groups: Reception & Year 1 Subject Talents: Art, especially managing Miss. Gibbs' many classroom projects I joined St Nicholas Primary School last April. I worked in the office, but soon realised that I wanted to work hands on with the children. In January 2007 I joined the Early Years children in Class 1. I live in Llantwit Major and have two boys of my own. Luke is 8 and Todd is 3, so life is busy both in school and at home. Our favourite family holiday is to go camping. On the weekend we often go walking with our dog, Meg and socialise with our friends. |
CLASS 1's L.S.A. Name: Mrs Michalea Usher Year Groups: Reception & Year 1 Subject Talents: Many, including Breakfast Club I was born in Cardiff and attended St. Nicholas Primary School myself. I had a fantastic time and have always had great affection for the School.

For the past two & a half years I have worked with adult students in a Maths Basic Skills Workshop. Although this position was enjoyable and rewarding I decided that I would like to make a change. A part time position became available at St Nicholas and I was lucky enough to be offered the job. I started work here in September 2007 and I am really enjoying myself.
I have two children of my own who now attend seconary school.
As a family we enjoy holidays together especially in France and going to watch rugby matches. I like music, walking, and animals.

I have worked in St Nicholas since 1999. I started in Class 1 and have worked with every age group and teacher! I have a keen interest in Horticulture studying floristry and flower production at welsh College of horticulture. My claim to fame is, I have done flowers for every member of the royal family. My husband Howard is the head gardener at Duffryn so we are a very green fingered family. I have two children Sarah who is 21 and Christopher who is 17. I live in Penarth and worship at All Saints Church where I am jointly responsible for, you’ve guessed it, the flower arrangements. |

CLASS 4's L.S.A.
Name: Mrs Georgina Wallis Year Groups: Year 5 & Year 6 Subject Talents: Art, Creative Design and Orgsnising Mr. D |

I was born in Manchester and moved to Cowbridge when I was 10 years old. I went to Y Bont Faen Primary School and then to Cowbridge Comprehensive. Some years ago I began working in local Playgroup 'Abracadabara' in Welsh St. Donats, I was there for around 3 years.
I decided that I enjoyed working with children so much that I took a Learning Support Assistant Course in Barry College and I am now a qualified Level 2 LSA. I also have completed a course on Supporting Speech and Language in the Classroom. Last school year, I worked on a one-to-one basis with a pupil in our school and thoroughly enjoyed that. The opportunity to work 0.5 with Sandra Mouti came up and I was successful in my interview.
I now look forward to bringing the experience I have and enthusiasm for the job into school and the classroom. |
