On Friday 12th June the St. Nicholas Tag-Rugby teams participated in a tournament at the world famous Cardiff Arms Park, where the might Cardiff Blues play!!!  We had a great time scoring many fine tries.  Success was mixed and the rules of not diving over the line and a girl's try not worth double, hit our team badly as these are the rules that have served us so well in the many fine Rural Vale tournaments attended this year!

My favourite bit off tag rugby was playing in the Cardiff Arms Park wear Cardiff blues play there games. I had a run I was almost there but then the other team tag me but atleast I had a run with the ball.
It was great day!!!!!!!!!!!!

tag rugby was really fun all year, and it's a shame that it has come to an end.
yestoday we drew some and lost some but it was the taking part that mattered
Shellie and i  saw our friend from karate.
This one team we went against they were really good, they beat us by alot but they were an A team, but it dosent matter couse we tried our best.

I cannot believe that I went to play at the Cardiff Arms Park for the second time since being in school.  I couldn't wait to get there, but our minibus ran out of fuel so we were a bit late. We took two teams and I was in the 'A' team.  I think I played really well setting up tries and scoring one from Ieuan.

CARDIFF ARMS PARK – THE END OF AN ERA

Last Friday the year 5 & 6 Tag Rugby Teams played at the Cardiff Arms Park.

I loved playing there!!  It was the last time I’ll play for the team and the last time I will play at the Arms Park!

We all enjoyed playing tag rugby and we had lots of fun even though we didn’t win all of our games.
It was just good to be at the Arms Park for the last time.

Thank you Mr D and Mrs Harvey for taking us and organizing for us to go to the event.

I went to Cardiff Arms Park to play  tag rugby. There were about 20 schools that attended. It was fantastic!! This was the best tag rugby event we had this year I really enjoyed it.

In the tag rugby tournament, we went the arms park. I was A team captain with Ieuan we played 5 games, we lost 4 and 1. I scored 3 trys. All though the year my was scoreing trys. Thank-you Mr D and the parents for takeing us.

Tag Rugby Report!!!
This was my/our last tag rugby game and I played in it! I nerly scored but it dosent matter because I had lost of fun at The Cardiff Arms Park! I have played a few games over the year and enjoyed them all! I hope they still have a good team next year when year 6 go to year 7!! Thank you all Mr. D and Mrs Harvey for coming and helping!!

Today I played tag rugby at the CARDIFF ARMS PARK. It felt great to play at the stadium were the cardiff blues played. My favourite part of the day was scoring tries that felt really good and to see Mr.D's season ticket seat.

TAG RUGBY
On Friday we played tag rugby at the Cardiff Blues Ground, it was a great experience with lots of other schools. I enjoyed scoring tries and defending for my team. We even got our photo taken infront of Mr D's seat. Thank you Mr D.

On Friday the 12th of June the tag-rug team went to Cardiff Arms Park. I really enjoyed it especially when I scord my try, I dummied the ball to Lukas and they all sort of ran his way so I sprinted all the way across the pitch diagonally and scored a try I was nearly tagged but they just missed. I loved the whole time Thank you Mr. D and Sharon for taking us.

New Directions FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

The football tournament was really cool we had 4 games.The first game we played Blackwood which we lost 3-0 against, we played Pontyclun and we lost 5-0 against, next we played Pontypridd and we drew 1-1 against these and one against Llancarfen and we won 3-2 against these but unfortunutly that was only a freindly. The best goal was Ieaun's it was amazing, the ball rolled in front of him and he booted it luckily it bounced of the bottem of the crossbar and went in. Thank you Mr. D it was really cool and thanks for letting me be captain.

Yesterday the a-team and the girls team went to saphire gardens to take part in a football tournement. It was really fun, we lost 2, drew 1 and won 1. I almost scored but one hit the post and one was just saved. Thanks Mr.d for organising it and Thanks Mr.D and Mrs Clarke for taking and supporting us!

Last Monday the Yr 5&6 football teams: A Team & Girls played in a football tournament on Astroturf.

Both teams lost 2, drew 1 and won 1!
The Girls got 4 points in there group, losing 2, drawing 1-1 and winning 1-0 through Hannah Clarke but didn’t get into the knockout stages of the tournament!

The A Team only got 1 point from 9 altogether, losing 4-0, 5-2 and drawing 2-2. We managed to win a game in a friendly against the other vale team, the schools were from all over South Wales!
We won that match 3-2 after going 1-0 down but we didn’t let go,
We took our chances going 2-1 down soon after with a deflection off Connor Dacey from my shot, I don’t mind!
We came back when I scored 2 goals late on to win eventually!

My favourite part was when we played Llancafen 3-2 and I scored a whopper from half way which I didn’t know was in until I saw my team mates galloping towards me!

When we played the foot ball tornament it was really fun. We played all sorts of teams. My favourite bit was whene Hannah scored a lovley goal against Lancarfen. We drew one won one and lost two but we had really good fun. The girls all played fair and the ref made good decisions.

On Monday the 11th some of St. Nicks football team went to Sopia Gardens. In girls team's first game we sadly lost by about 2-0 something like that. Then the second we drew 0-0. Our third game I was sub for apart of it then Mr. D told me to go and say something to the boys and when I got back Hannah had scored!! Then I come on left midand we won that game 1-0. The forth game didn't go so well though but at least we tried our best the final score was 4-0 but we all had red faces. The main thing was we had a great day out of school Thanks to the organisers!!!

I really enjoyed the football tournament and I was the captain for the girls team it was great , We played 4 games and we played against girls only which made it easier. On the 3rd match we played against Llan Something. We won the match 1-0 and I scored the winning goal .
In the last match we lost 4-0 but they had a girl who played for Wales , and the rest were good as well. It was a GREAT day

On Monday the football team went to play football we didnt pay on grass we played on astro.I was a goal keeper for 4 games it was fun i let a couple of shots go past me.A girl shot at me and i saved it but i never picked it up i kicked it out, then 4 or 5 girls wer shooting the ball 1 after another but i saved them all, it was a really good match.The boys played well and so did th e girls,I had a great day!!!NO WORK WOOHOO but in a way we did do work and that was teamwork !!!!

Sports Day was fun. I was in blue house we came 3rd place .We did egg and spoon races and obstacle courses. My favourite was the tug of war.Blues came runners up in that. Greens won at the end..........again.
