In Science, we aim to encourage pupils to demonstrate sound knowledge about aspects of the natural world. We aim for them to apply their understanding of key scientific concepts in both familiar and unfamiliar situations and offer explanations of behaviour they observe.
The four attatiment targets we study are:
Physical Processes
Materials & their Properties
Life Processes & Living Things
Scientific Enquiry
The children communicate their ideas effectively using text, diagrams, graphs, table and charts. They assess the validity of their findings and draw conclusions
from them. They make systematic measurements and observations.
Our children have an understanding of the nature of scientific ideas and are aware of the contribution that science makes to society and of it's impact on industry, environment and the economy.
They demonstrate responsible attitudes towards safety and how show respect for living organisms and the physical environment.

What we did was get into groups then make a table on Exel so that when we come in we would put down our pulse rates then make them into a graph. We went out side and run around the playground and in each corner we would do 10 starjumps that was my group then after that we took our pulse rates 4 times for 15 secs then in the class we quadrippled it to make that a minute of checking our pulse. After that we put all our finale rates down then we made them into a graph. My faveourite part was the exersising bit getting out of the warm class.

CLASS 3 REPORTS ON @BRISTOL |

When I went to Bristol my favourite thing was the hamster wheel and the Planetarium because I liked seeing the stars in the Planetarium. In the hamster wheel I like running around it. by Francesca Crilly |
|
I really enjoyed @bristol. My favourite thing was the sand thing and it turned around you can tell how fast or slow you want it to go. you would have to make it flat and then draw patterns with a spade, stick and something like a magnifiying glass with no glass. Also the Ready Steady Go show was good. by Olivia Rowlands |
|
On Thursday we went to @ Bristol, I had a great time there. My friends and I enjoyed working at the TV Station in there there were several sound effects and on the blue screen cool backgrounds and a spy camera by the Planetarium. Ther were lots of interesting things on colour! by Lukie Wallis |

MORE CLASS 4 REPORTS ON @BRISTOL @bristol trip it was really fun at @bristol they had a planetium, a human hamster ball, make your own master peice and things like a jungle for little ones create your own colored fish we saw the view of a fish dog and cat and fly. We learnt about musles in our bodey and our heart and lungs and sweat and in the planeterium we learnt the names of the stars it was a great day organised by miss sully why does she hav to go she been really nice to us like organising that trip for us at @bristol by Paige 11 Williams Class 3 & 4 on Thursday 29th January went to @Bristol. When we got there we were introduced to Polly then we were allowed to go and explore the upstairs Jordan and I went of and we came to vetial volley ball it was so cool you stand infront of the screen and you apear on it beacause there are cameras by the screen then when the ball came your side you could hit it back with no ball. Jordan and I went allong annd came to this stick thing when you could make colours, this girl from another school grabbed them all and looked at us and said in a attitued way what and walked of but that didn't bring down the day. The Ready Sweaty Go part was really fun we got to see how the heart worked, doing exercises to see what happenes to us what we feel like, Mucels and how the bicep can only pull and the tricep does the push Thomas and I showed hor it worked on a wooden door that they had and best of all we got to see a really quick flame caused by gas and icing sugar ity was really cool. Downstairs there was a human sized hamster wheel and my favourite one the paint machine when you can make your own patterns and send them to your self so you can have them at home aswell, but mainly the whole day was really cool and would love to go there again sometime! by Shellie May At Bristol by kaci Payne Hi guys, See ya
thanx so much miss sully and all the teachers
The best thing was the hamster ball, when i went on it my shoes came off. I also got to pump fake blood into some fake lungs. One of the parts there was a spinning wheel, you have to look at it for 20 seconds then look at your hand and your hand would be moving. There was also a tilted house and it made me dizzy. The whole day was fun.
Just a quick message to say a big thank you for my invite to @Bristol the other day. I really enjoyed our day out, I can't single out one part that was my absolute favourite as it was all so good. However, saying that I really enjoyed the planetarium I will be looking out for all the stars Polly told us about.(Sirius, Bellatrix, The Seven Sisters) The virtual volley ball was interesting although, I didn't quite get the hang of that.
I also really enjoyed the fact that I found something that Mr. Downey admits he cannot do! It doesn't happen often so make sure you all remember this, I had to teach him how to play Chess.
Once again a big THANK YOU! for my invite and congratulations on being so well behaved during our trip. I will see you soon!
by Miss Eckett
