The church in St. Nicholas where the children go for Eucharist Services, with the local rector Rachel Lewis

At St.Nicholas Church in Wales Primary School we aim to ensure that all children have opportunities to:
* foster a good understanding of the Christian ethos.

* Develop an awareness of the religious, spiritual, moral and cultural dimensions of life to help them in their search for meaning and purpose in life and respect the world in which they live.

* Develop self-esteem, to be sensitive to others and to acquire and apply good moral values.

We aim to encourage pupils to explore religion sensitively in accordance with the teaching of the Anglican faith. To develop a knowledge and understanding of religious beliefs, values and practices in the Christian tradition.

We aim to enable pupils to develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of the key beliefs of Chritianinty, the main figures of the bible, Christian worship and festivals.

Every class in the school worked together to create banners of the six days of creation.

The children of Class 3 created an Islamic Prayer Mat.

If you use it, make sure you use the compass to ensure it is pointing to Mecca

We encourage in our children exploration of their own belief, values, attitudes and experiences in terms of the religious, spiritual, cultural and moral aspects of life.

We also encourage them to reflect on and question beliefes and values, and come to a conclusion as to what is of worth and value. We aim to promote respect, understanding and tolerance for people who adhere to different faiths.

Islam, Judaism, Hinduism and Sikhism are taught alongside Christianity in the Junior Curriculum
