THE MUSIC CURRICULUM AT ST. NICHOLAS

 

At St. Nicholas Music is an integral part life at our school. Music can be applied to lessons across the curriculum and in extra curricular performances. Children enjoy using music to enhance the learning environment.

Singing is especially important and we sing songs from different cultures around the world as well as Welsh songs and songs from Wales. Children are encouraged to be composers and music making is a valuable source of self expression.

CHOIR AND RECORDER CLUB

 

 

 

Instrumental tuition is offered in a range of instruments including keyboard, violin and brass.

Concerts and musicals are performed throughout the year and there are opportunities provided for the children to perform regularly in church services.

Children are also given opportunities to see concerts, visit concert halls and listen to professsional musicians.
