PROMPT CLASS 4 REPORTS

We just got back from a fantastic day out to Gloucester Docks.  There was tonnes to do in the museum, from pulling really heavy sacks like the victorians did to cranking gears to control boat motors. Everyone had lots of fun but the funniest part was when me and Evan were at the front of the Queen Boadecia and we were one of the first to realise that the boat was floating into the wall and going to crash! About a minute later the captian announced that we were going to crash and there were some people that were crying due to fear and other people were excitied that we were going to  crash! I really enjoyed the activities in the education room, we talked about making rag-rugs and also dressed up in victorian childs clothes which I prefered because I got to use my old english accent! I started making a narrow boat and painted some rose patterns like they have on the narrow boats. Everyone had great fun and thanks a bunch to Mr D, Mrs Freeman and all the other staff who organised and took us on the trip.

Gloucester Docks.
Gloucester Docks was amazing the 30th Septemper 2009 we went inside a narrow boat from the Victorian Era.We made some pictures then when we were in the narrow boat they had the exact same pictures cupboards they were either roses or castles and we were sat
were they would keep coal or what ever they were shipping .The narrow boat we went on had no engine so the nickname for it was "buttie".There was a thing down stairs for pretend boats to go through for people to play with and you could full the lock then but your boat and there was lots more.I would go there again .The boat we first went On The Queen Boudicea II and something happend to it and so we all had to go on the King Arthur which was nice and nearly all the year 6 & 5 were on the outside of the boat which was wicked .THANK YOU MR.D/G, MISS ECKETT, MRS FREEMAN , MRS ENGLAND , MRS ALDRIDGE , MR LEWIS , MRS WALLIS AND THANKS YOU TO THE BUS AND BOAT DRIVERS

by Olivia Donaldson

On Wednesday we went to Gloucester Docks, I was in Mr D's group. we went to the museum first where we dressed up as victorians and we were shown how locks work by playing with toy locks and boats. We also went on a boat trip down the river and back up. It was a great day.
thank you to Mr D and all the teachers who came and helped.

by George Scanlan

Yesterday, we went on a school trip to Gloucester Docks. We went to the museum there and we played on lots of interactive activities which I really enjoyed. Later on in the day, we went to see a canal boat. We were allowed to sit on the boat and we were told some interesting facts.  We then went on a trip down the canal which was good fun. Overall, I had a great day out at Gloucester Docks.

by Harry Thomas

First my favourite part was when the first boat crashed it was a part scary but quite funny the boat crashed because we were on it but when we caught the 2nd boat it didn't crash and it was really good. We went under one of those briges that lift up. In the education center we made the boat patterns with the roses, we made on our own narrow boats and we saw how to rag rug we even went into a real narrow boat.  My favourite picture is the one of me james harry and jasmine all dressed as victorian girls. I liked the tresure trial we found all of our letters but I don't think we found them in the right order but we found them all in the end. It was an amazing day thank you Mr.G

by Evan Turner

Yesterday Class 3&4 went to Glouster docks. It was really fun because no one had been there before. First we done a tresure hunt around the museum stoping and looking at the stuff to then we had lunch and a lady came and told us about rag rugs. Then class 4 went up to the education room. We split into to group's one group made different stuff like narrow boats, watering cans, painting and a horse shoe, then we got dressed up in the victorian clothes(that's the bit I didn't like). Then we went down to a narrow boat and went inside to the back where a man talked to us about it. Then we went straight onto the boat Queen Boudica wearing the clothes! (It was very embarasing!) When we were on the the engine stopped working properly and we slowely crashed into the wall. So we had to get off. But they arranged another boat for us it was really fun. THANK-YOU ALL THE STAFF AND EVERYONE WHO HELPED, IT WAS A AMAZING DAY!!
