'The little school' is where Class 1 live during school time. It can be found a short walk away from the main school building. The FOUNDATION PHASE is in full swing and everyone is working really hard to ensure it has a POSITIVE AFFECT for the children
Our teacher is Mrs Taylor-Gibbs, and our class LSA's are Mrs Aldridge and Mrs Usher (both full time). |

DAYS TO REMEMBER We have lots of days to remember in class one. Here is a quick reminder:
Everyday - We bring coats (We live in Wales and the weather changes quickly) Monday - We bring our dinner money Tuesday - We bring our PE kit Thursday - We bring our PE kit and our book bags
Rainy days - We bring our coats and welly boots! |

Our topic this half term is 'LONG AGO AND FAR AWAY' We have worked hard on changing our role play corner into our very own MAGIC CASTLE!
Our topic lets us investigate lots of different areas of the curriculum. WARNING! In class One we do lots of hands on learning. It means we actualy get to experience things for ourselves, instead of Mrs Taylor-Gibbs just telling us about them.
Because we do so much hands on learning we often get very, very messy! Please dont send us to school in our best clothes! We also like to spend as much time outside as we can. We go out in all types of weather. Unlike the children in ' the big school' we are not afraid of shrinking in the rain! |

On rainy days we bring our rain coats and welington boots with us so that we can splash in the puddles, without getting our toes wet!
On sunny days we bring our sun hats and sun cream so that we dont get burned.
On snowy days we wrap up warm with our coats, gloves and welington boots. We love to go outside and make footprints in the snow! How can we talk about how snow makes us feel, what it feels like or how it sounds unless we have been outside and experienced it for ourselves........looking at it in pictures or through the window just isnt the same! |

CARDIFF CASTLE AHOY!!! Cardiff Ca$tle We got to cardiff castle on big yellow bus only class 1went !! There was water by the castle i never fell in.The castle was grey.We had to t thanks Mrs Taylor Gibbs and Miss Aldridge and Mrs Usher YOU ARE ALL THE BEST TEACHERS EVER !!! Cardiff Ca$tle My favourite bit of going to Cardiff Castle was the film about how the castle has changed over the years. Cardiff Castle I had a lovely day, i enjoyed my trip and i liked the bus ride and going to the top of the castle where the flags was. I really liked my group and Mrs Mahony, we had lots of fun. ake pack lunch with us because we went for the whole day. Lot's of people on the bus fell asleep on the way back to school because it was so good. I had a really fun day it was the best i really enjoyed myself.

Cardiff Castle We went inside the castle and I got to try the knight's armour. It was very heavy and shiny and I got to hold the BIG Shield but not the sword as it could have hurt me. by Cerys Jackson |

Cardiff Castle I enjoyed the trip to Cardiff Castle, the best part was the childrens room and looking at all the different pretty rooms.
